On July 30, 2016, the Board of Evangelism / Outreach at Jehovah Lutheran Church in Pensacola, FL, sponsored a back-to-school event for our neighbors in the Gonzalez Court Community. Nearly 100 children benefited from the school supply giveaway. All in attendance experienced a wonderful time. Everyone enjoyed the free food prepared by the men of Jehovah. The parents and children genuinely expressed their gratitude for the school supplies and food.

On September 11, Jehovah honored cancer survivors and grandparents. Members of the church wore pink to celebrate “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.” The children read poems about their grandparents during the children’s sermon. Refreshments were served in the fellowship hall to commemorate Pink Sunday and Grandparents Day.

This fall has been busy with lots of activity at St. Paul’s September and October found lots of the members busy giving the entire church a good cleaning, and they also spruced up the outside by power washing the walkways and sprucing up the lawn and flower gardens. The Church of the Holy Spirit Basketball Team began its practices on November 1, 2016. The 11-member team is blessed with a strong Christian coach, enabling them to reach into the community and show love. We pray that the Holy Spirit would work among our team to build a spirit of excellence and community with love for one another.
