For over 113 years, Bethesda Lutheran Communities has provided services to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. They have a positive impact on almost 2000 people each day who are served through their 13-state network of 300+ group homes, in-home support programs, host homes, day programs, workshops and respite care locations. Bethesda also focuses on the faith-life of people with disabilities. They create devotional and instructional materials (that are used in Bethesda’s program locations and shared with parents, volunteers and congregations), ensure that everyone they support has a faith-life plan and assist pastors and congregations with programs of local ministry to and with people who have disabilities.
