Congregations of the Southern District LCMS are voting members of the District and are entitled to nominate one ordained minister from the ordained minister roster of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod as a candidate for President of the Southern District in an election to be held at the Southern District Convention in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, June 18-20, 2009.
