Youth Ministry

The Southern District works in tandem with LCMS Youth Ministry, helping youth to grow in leadership skills, serving, along with sharing resources on training experiences for youth and youth ministry leaders.  Youth ministry is recognized as a vital connection in helping persons grow in their faith journey.

Haiti Earthquake Relief

Haiti Earth Quake Relief

 The people of the Southern District are no strangers to disasters. We also know the comfort that comes from the hand of God through the gifts of his people. Our experience has taught us that the quickest and most effective assistance happens by getting resources into the hands of those who have established ministry presences in the affected areas.

In response to the devastation in Haiti we encourage the people of the Southern District to pray for God's healing mercy in Jesus for those in need and to give directly to those who have established avenues of care.
