Launch:  Messiah in Prattville

is Off the Ground

 Messiah Church – Your mission in Prattville, Alabama

Almost one year to the day Pastor Doug Davis was interviewing for the Missionary at Large for the Prattville/Millbrook, Alabama position, Messiah Church held their first public worship!  The opening worship celebration was great and attendance was over 100! The services since the opening have remained in the 60’s with new families each week.  

“The music and the flow of the service went as planned, “ stated Pastor Doug, “and the response to the worship style and format has been very positive!”  After the opening service, the launch team celebrated with a banquet. Much has been accomplished in the past eight months since Pastor Davis’ arrival, but now the work begins as Messiah continues to reach out into the community.  To God be the Glory!

Ablaze! is a mission movement within the LCMS to encourage members to be active in their witness to the unchurched and dechurched by offering a clear Gospel message of the hope we have through faith in Jesus.  Ablaze! is also about revitalization (transformation) of existing congregations and the planting of new ministries.  Learn more about Ablaze! along with some starter ideas. 

Fan into Flame is a capital campaign to help fund the Ablaze! initiatives locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.  The Southern District is pleased to be a partner in this effort.  Join in prayer and support of this iniatiative
