The theme of the 2011 Southern District Teachers’ Conference is based on “Called to Be Exceptional”, using 1 Peter 2:9 as the Scriptural foundation, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” (ESV) We realize the opportunities that Lutheran schools provide and it is vital that we be excellent as we serve minds, employ methods, and carry out ministries.
The Conference dates are November 20-22, 2011. The place for this year’s Conference is the Greater New Orleans area, with the opening worship service being held at St. John Lutheran Church & School in New Orleans. The balance of the Conference will be hosted at Atonement Lutheran Church and School in Metairie.
Teachers, administrators, directors, pastors are invited to attend!
