This year’s Southern District Junior High Youth Gathering theme, Crucified Passions, takes a look at those driving forces in our lives that distract us from Christ. In his letter to the Galatian church, Paul tells us to crucify those distracting passions. In the place of those passions Paul gives us a list of virtues that are of the Spirit. Read Galatians 5:22-24 to gain insights to the theme. In the weekend, the youth will be reminded that Christ focused away from the passions of this world so that our salvation could be secured in His crucifixion and resurrection. This is a weekend where we can celebrate the life given to us by the Spirit!
